Is a Career in IT the Right Fit for You?
You don’t need a tech background to succeed in IT — but a natural curiosity about how things work goes a long way. The students who get the most out of our IT certificate and degree programs tend to share a few things in common:
- Enjoy problem-solving
- Are curious about technology, networks, and computer systems
- Are motivated to learn as technology evolves
- Want practical, applicable skills—not just classroom theory
Our IT training programs are designed for:
- Career changers ready to move into a growing industry
- Working adults who need flexibility but also want structure and support behind them
- Anyone who’s often the go-to tech person and wants to make it official
Already have some IT training or experience?
If you have valid industry certifications or credits from another college, the team at Asher College will work with you to determine what might transfer into our IT programs. If you have work experience in your field, you may also have the option to “challenge” a course prior to beginning a program.

Why Choose Asher College for IT Training
1
The Technical Depth Employers Notice
There are faster and cheaper IT programs out there. The difference is in the preparation — IT certifications are rigorous for a reason, and Asher’s IT certificate and degree programs are built to make sure you’re genuinely ready for them, and for the work that comes after.
2
Build Your Class Schedule Around Your Life
Unlike programs with fixed timetables, Asher’s hybrid learning model lets you create a personalized schedule—combine on-campus training with remote study based on what works for you each week.
You don’t have to put your life on hold to move your career forward.
3
IT Certification Employers Recognize
Every phase of training is built around industry-recognized certifications—and you can earn them as you go, not all at once at the end. That means by the time you graduate, you may already hold several credentials. For many students, it could open the door to entry-level IT work while they’re still completing the program. Depending on your program, certifications include:
- CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, Linux+
- Cisco CCNA
- Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner and Solutions Architect
These aren’t just credentials — they’re globally recognized industry standards that employers actively hire for.
4
Degree Options To Advance Your Skills
When you complete your certificate program, you’re ready to work. Most graduates step directly into IT roles with their certifications in hand—and for many, that’s exactly the right next move. Asher also gives you the option to continue into an IT Associate’s Degree with an additional six months of training, available 100% online or hybrid, on your own schedule.
That means you don’t have to choose between getting into the workforce and building long-term credentials. You can do both—start working and continue toward your degree at a pace that fits your life.
4
Training IT Professionals Since 1998
Nearly 30 years of focused IT training means Asher’s programs have been shaped by real outcomes — refined with every class, every certification result, and every graduate who’s gone on to work in the field.
Our curriculum is developed with input from an advisory board of working IT professionals and the employers who hire them — so what you learn reflects what the field actually needs right now.
Next Class Starts June 1, 2026!

Practice on Real Problems Before You Graduate
Asher hosts a free PC clinic every week on campus, open to the community. As a student, you’re doing real repairs, solving real problems, and building the confidence that comes from knowing you’ve done it before.
Labs, simulations, and live troubleshooting are built into every program.
HOW Hybrid TRAINING WORKS
A Schedule You Control - Never Miss a Class
Asher’s hybrid program combines on-campus training with remote study. Rather than fitting your life around a fixed timetable, you decide how many hours per week on campus work for you, then build your schedule around that commitment.
- Full-time – 24 hours per week
- 3/4 time – 18 hours per week
- Part-time – 12 hours per week
Every Asher campus is open Monday through Saturday, giving you flexibility across the week rather than locking you into specific class times.
Choose the pace that fits your life.
